First of all, thank you for finding me on the big wide web! I am so happy we get to work together to create some gorgeous memories. From there, we can discuss potential dates, locations, and what type of session you are after. I will send through an invoice with everything outlined, and to secure it, I require a $100 retainer. The remaining balance is due when we have our session, or a few days before, if you are bank transferring. And that’s it! You’re booked, and the date is locked in.
What happens if it is raining, and we want an outdoor session?
We can absolutely reschedule. The weather is a fickle thing, and even though a cloudy day is a photographers dream, we (and my expensive camera) don’t want to get drenched!
What do we wear?
Our sessions are entirely yours, so you can wear whatever makes you comfortable, and makes you feel like you. Some suggestions I tend to make, if you are stuck, is fairly neutral complimentary colours, with a pop of colour here and there. Try not to go too matchy matchy! You don’t walk down the street every day in matching white t-shirts and jeans, do you? However, if a lion onesie makes you feel like yourself, then go for gold!
My child is a bit of a grumpy pants today. Should we reschedule?
It is entirely up to you, but I find kids take a little time to warm to the idea of having some pictures taken, so it won’t matter what day it is! I allow an hour and a half for a session (and sometimes, if time allows, we can go over), so that’s plenty of time for them to warm to the lady clicking the cool black thing in front of them. I am a mum myself and know that sometimes the kiddies can have a moment, which is totally fine! We take our time, and sometimes (sometimes), I am able to capture those lovely mummy cuddles when the little ones are particularly sooky. My style of photography is very natural. I take pictures of you and your family hanging out with each other, having a good time. I won’t ask you to smile at the camera over and over again, say cheese! It’s those moments in between that I am interested in.
If we have an in-home session, what should we do to prepare?
I don’t ask you guys to go full parental with the clean-up, but cleaning up clutter in the areas we will be photographing makes the images much nicer. Other than that, come as you are!
How long will it take for us to get our images?
I generally post a sneak peek on my social media within 24-48 hours. You can expect your online gallery to be emailed out to you within 1-2 weeks. Additional hard copies (USB and box, if that package has been requested) will be another week on top of that.
What time should we have our session?
Timing is everything, right? Correct! For outdoor sessions, I will recommend we do them early morning, or late afternoon. Why? The lighting is the best. Trust me.
For indoor sessions, it doesn’t matter, however I wouldn’t recommend evening.
FRESH 48 SESSIONS
I am due to have a baby. How do I go about booking a Fresh 48 session?
Congratulations! Babies are the best. I love Fresh 48 sessions, and I’m so excited to capture this beautiful and crazy time of your life. With Fresh 48’s, you let me know your due date and I require a $100 retainer to lock it in. As we don’t know when you will actually have your baby (or maybe you do – great!), we don’t have a set date locked in. I just make sure I am available around your birth before we lock it in (i.e. make sure I’m not away). When you have your little one, if you (or your partner) could send me a message, letting me know he/or she has arrived, and then we can organise a time over the next 48 hours.
Which hospitals do you photograph at?
I am local to Gosford Private and Gosford Hospital, however will shoot at any hospital on the Coast. For outside of the Central Coast (i.e. Newcastle and/or Sydney), a travel fee of $100 will apply.
Are you vaccinated?
I am completely up to date on all my vaccinations.
We are leaving hospital before 48 hours. What happens then?
Then we do it at home! We can still get all those lovely fresh images, just from the comfort of your own home.
We want to book you as our wedding photographer. What now?
I am so excited to tell your love story. First things first, email me at email@example.com, send me a message on Facebook, or fill in my contact form. From there, we can confirm I am available for the date of your wedding and discuss which package you are after. I will also ask some questions, like where your wedding is, and we can discuss if additional travel fees are required.
I will send through an invoice, and a contract for you to look over. If you are happy, the contact will be signed and emailed back to me, then a $500 deposit will need to be paid to secure the date. Once that is paid, you are booked! The remaining balance isn’t due until 6 weeks before your big day.
About two weeks before your wedding, I will send out an information sheet that will need to be filled out by you and returned to me a week before your wedding. This will have all the finer details of your day, including all start times and finishes, locations, and contact information. This will help me stick to the days schedule, and know exactly where we need to be when.
How long will it take to get my images?
Turnaround for editing a wedding is usually 4-6 weeks, however can extend to 8 depending on the time of year. I will keep you updated how the editing process is going, and send you sneak peeks along the way. An online gallery will be emailed to you first, and hard copies mailed out a week after that.
I am after some specific images. What do I do?
Let me know. If you have specific ideas or particular images in mind (I have to get a photo of you and your best friends family), please be sure to email me a list one week prior to the wedding so I can ensure I do not miss it.
